"FIST OF BASEBALL" is a fictional league and story created by Japanese contemporary artist CHRIS. In addition to the actual artworks, it is expressed through more than 1,000 digital art pieces.

CHRIS

Born in San Francisco and raised in Tokyo. CHRIS began his artistic journey in 2012, heavily influenced by Japanese retro pop culture and street culture.

His artworks are created by remixing inspirations from his extensive archive collection including stickers, trading cards, Nintendo games, manga/anime, fashion magazines, and more, crafting a unique artistic vision, which CHRIS then elevate into his unique artworks.

CHRIS has honed his craft as a contemporary artist for over a decade and has achieved numerous collaborations. Shohei Ohtani used to play for Nippon Ham Fighters when he played in Japan. At their new stadium, Es Con Field, CHRIS has pieces exceeding 3 meters in size and there is "CHRIS's" room in a hotel dedicated to his artworks.

The collaboration with BE@RBRICK is collected by Justin Bieber, and his work is also part of collections by global collectors. In 2024, he realized a collaboration with Pokémon, holding two solo exhibitions featuring "Snorlax." The exhibitions and all related merchandise sold out completely, generating significant buzz.

"FIST OF BASEBALL" is a project where CHRIS himself has imagined a fictional league, expanding across various medium such as paintings on canvas, trading cards, digital art, and more. This collection includes paintings modeled after trading cards and features over 1000 digital artworks.

Trading cards, which can be seen as symbols of collecting culture, have the characteristic of unfolding individual stories as they are gathered. In addition to the information depicted on each card, imagining connections with other cards evokes a sense of the vast world they reside in.
